The George Mason University closed circuit television (CCTV) is classified as a sensitive system. All video is the property of George Mason University, and the release of any video footage is subject to all Federal and Commonwealth of Virginia laws. Individuals must submit a request, and granting release is based on a case-by-case basis.
Step 1: Log in to the CCTV Footage Request Form with Mason Net ID.
Step 2: Enter the requestor’s supervisor’s name and Mason’s email address.
Step 3: Complete the requestor’s basic information.
Step 4: Indicate camera locations.
Step 5: Please provide the reasoning for the access.
Step 6: Complete the supervisor’s contact information.
Step 7: Click “Next” and check the boxes to agree to a Non-Disclosure Agreement stating that the requestors are being given access to sensitive information and will ensure all efforts are made to comply with university confidentiality regulations.
Step 8: Click “Next” and sign the electronic signature to submit the request.
Once the request is approved, the requestor will receive a notification that the access request is accepted and active. For questions or support, please contact:
